Park with 3 thematic routes to discover the former war zone
During the First World War, the front line between Italy and Austria-Hungary crossed the heights of Monfalcone. Between 1915 and 1917 several battles took place here. The park, established in 2005, brings together three thematic itineraries to discover this former war zone, with the remains of the trenches and firing points set up by the two armies. A memorial pays tribute to Enrico Toti, a war hero who died at Monfalcone.
