A museum retracing the history of Capelinhos, the lighthouse and the various volcanic eruptions at Capelo.

Several exhibitions trace the history of Capelinhos, the lighthouse and the various volcanic eruptions that have shaped the landscape of the Azores (and beyond) since their creation. Social repercussions such as mass emigration are also discussed. Three-dimensional film projections. Guided tours in English available. An exciting museum in a unique setting. A must-see in Capelinhos and the surrounding region.
