Louisiana Traditional Boat Interpretive Center, housing some of the vintage boats in Lockport.
In Lockport, there is a small Louisiana Traditional Boat Interpretation Center, which houses a few models of old boats, including dugout canoes used by the Indians over 500 years ago, and other objects related to river transportation, which was once the only way to get from one point to another throughout the territory. Note that Lockport is located southeast of Raceland, about a ten-minute drive away.
