Jebel Tebaga is the oldest massif in Tunisia and the most important sedimentological site in the region. Believed to be of universal value, it is in the process of being classified by UNESCO. It is the only marine Upper Permian outcrop (around 250 million years old) in Africa. This is the period of primitive continental drift that led to the separation of Europe and Africa. In a breathtakingly beautiful landscape, with mountains as far as the eye can see, you can discover fossils while hiking. One of a kind!
