SADUS LAKE
This small Sadus lake in a stony desert appears during the rainy season and disappears in summer...
Natural watering holes are as precious in this rocky desert as a diamond mine. The small Sadus Lake forms as soon as the rainy season returns, before disappearing with the heat of summer. We pass it on our way to the access road to The Edge of the World. A few shrubs have found a place to flourish at the foot of this waterhole, which is also a watering hole for the region's rare birds. Don't go out of your way for this site, but you can always stop by if you're in the area.
