QASR AL AMARAH
A palace designed by Najran's architects, distinguished by the decorative effects of its turrets and 65 rooms.
This vast palace is another masterpiece of Najran architecture. It is located in the heart of the village of Aba Lasaud, between the Aan Palace and the archaeological site of Ukhdud. The palace dates back to 1961 and was built to accommodate the governor of Najran, his administrative officers and fellow travelers. It is a very elaborate complex with many decorative effects on top of the turrets, roofs and window towers. The palace has 65 rooms and was built around a central well that dates back to the pre-Islamic era. The palace houses a museum.
