Traditional adobe houses rising above the fields, located in Narjan, which stand out for their high towers.
If you take the path that climbs up in front of the Al Ukhdud archaeological site, you'll reach a group of traditional adobe houses. The dozen or so houses stand proudly above the fields. The towers are so high that some of them tower over the palm trees. The lower buildings are used for grain storage or to bring in the animals at night. The residential houses soar high into the sky, topped by a crenellated frieze limed in white, just like the window towers.
