AL AREESH
If you're looking for a typical, traditional setting, you've come to the right place. The architecture of this restaurant reflects the codes of the old houses of Abha, with adobe walls and slate pebbles. Place your order at the entrance (no English menu) and, after walking up a long corridor, you enter a vast square courtyard. On the first floor, there are no tables, but small lounges set in stalls. A grand double staircase leads to the first floor, reserved for families. On the menu, chicken al-fahm served with rice.
