13 km north of Al Baha, the village of Bani Sar has preserved its old stone palace. It is a singular and unique monument in the region. Built in 1825, the palace first integrated different buildings with different functions: the private quarters, the majlis or council hall, a mosque, the kitchen and the servants' quarters. The Al Wasit House was added in 1939 to receive guests. The palace has been renovated and turned into a museum. The interiors of the houses are supported by carved stone or wooden columns.
