AL WAHBAH CRATER
3-hour hike along a footpath leading down to the crater floor. Beware of some steep sections.
The al-Wahbah crater is not the most impressive in this volcanic region, nor is it the highest. It is located at the end of a small road where there is a parking lot and a visitors' center, which will probably be closed. Observation platforms have been set up on either side of the parking lot. If you turn left, you'll reach the footpath leading down to the crater floor. Some sections are a little steep, and the ground is loose and stony. Good footwear is required. Allow 3 hours for the hike. Bring plenty of water.
