There aren't many restaurants in the Al-Haram area. You can either have your meal at the hotel, or make do with a fast-food restaurant. There are a few in the northern part of the sacred precinct. Fatoum, as its name suggests, specializes in shawarma, which is eaten in a flatbread filled with garlic sauce and French fries. If that doesn't tempt you, the establishment also serves burgers and slightly heartier chicken or veal dishes. You can accompany your meal with a fresh fruit juice.
