JABAL ALFIL
Located in Alula, this site allows you to watch the sun set over a large monolithic boulder pierced by a natural arch.
AlUla's soft sandstone mountains, polished by wind, sand and water, offer spectacular contours that create an enchantment for the eyes... and the camera. Jebel Alfil, or Elephant Rock, is one of the region's best-known silhouettes. The large monolithic boulder is pierced by a natural arch, which looks like an elephant's trunk falling to the ground. The site is open at the end of the day, to watch the sun set over the rock and soften its contours. At nightfall, colorful lighting brings the site to life.
