QISHLAH PALACE
Palace in the heart of the town of Hail to discover a former barracks converted into a historic monument.
Located in the heart of the city, right in front of the SAPTCO bus station, the Qishlah Palace dates back to 1940. It is not a royal residence, but a former barracks intended by King Abdulaziz to accommodate soldiers arriving in the city and to serve as a depot for weapons and ammunition. The barracks was later transformed into a prison before becoming a historical monument. It was under renovation at the time of our visit, but we can still admire its importance: a square of 142 meters on each side and walls of 8.5 meters thick.
