HAIL OLD TOWN
A town with old ochre-colored houses, a traditional market and a typical date market.
Hail's old town stretches north from the A'arif fortress to the Barzan fort. The ruined adobe houses and palm-fringed courtyards are hidden behind the rows of modern houses and stores that line the district's arterial roads. You'll have to poke around a bit to find the old ochre-colored houses. The district is also bordered by the traditional fruit and vegetable market, as well as a typical date market. Just to the north, the old Barzan fort dates back to 1808, when it was Mohammed Al Ali's palace.
