TAYMA FORTRESS
A fortress with old residential quarters, warehouses, towers and bastions.
200 meters east of the Hadaj well, the Tayma fortress resembles an old Najd palace with its thick adobe walls. A parking lot has been set up to welcome visitors. It is the best preserved of the local forts and castles, and the most recent too. It was completely renovated in 2017. It was once the governor's residence. Inside, you can visit the former living quarters, warehouses, towers and bastions. A heavy palm-wood gate opens onto the still-active palm grove that surrounds the fortress.
