MAISON CEKOVIĆ
A large building in traditional local style, renovated and transformed into a museum in 2007, with an art gallery and a pleasant wine bar.
This is the most beautiful house in Pale. This large building in the traditional local style (Cekovića Kuća/Цековића Кућа) is distinguished by its wooden balcony that runs along the entire 20-meter-long façade. It was built between 1902 and 1915 for Petar Ceković, a merchant who made his fortune with the Orient. Occupied by the same family until 1984, it was ceded to the city, renovated and transformed into a museum in 2007. There is an art gallery, an exhibition on the Ceković family (costumes, paintings, furniture...) as well as a pleasant wine bar.
