Enjoying a beautiful setting, this mountain lake (Veliko Jezero/Велико Језеро) is the largest in the Treskavica massif: about 300 m long, 150 m wide and 5 m deep. It is located at 1,550 m above sea level, below Mount Ilijaš (1,879 m). It can be reached on foot from the village of Turovi (1,020 m above sea level) by a long trail of 19 km. Halfway up, you can sleep in the Sustavac mountain hut (20 beds, 4 cabins and a camping area), at an altitude of 1,142 m. On the lake shore, another accommodation: the EPD Treskavička Jezera hut (16 beds).
