NÉCROPOLE MÉDIÉVALE DE BILEĆA
Necropolis grouping eighty-six stećci from villages and hamlets buried in 1965, of various shapes and some decorated.
Enjoying a beautiful view of Lake Bileća, this site (Nekropola Stećaka Bileća/Некропола Стећака Билећа) brings together 86 stećci from villages and hamlets buried in 1965. Dating from the 13th-15th centuries, they are of various forms (chests, gabled chests, slabs, crosses) and for some decorated (geometric patterns, sword, dance scene...). But the most valuable stećci from the lake are preserved in the National Museum, in Sarajevo, or in the United States. Sixty others have been buried.
