Founded around the 15th century, this Serbian Orthodox monastery (Manastir Gomionica/Манастир Гомионица) is one of the most renowned in the Bosnian Krajina. Its church erected around 1580 is dedicated to the Presentation of Mary in the Temple. It houses beautiful, well-preserved frescoes and icons from the 17th and 18th centuries. Set in a hilly landscape, the complex presents a beautiful set of buildings including an old konak (inn). It was in this monastery, now occupied by twelve nuns, that the poet Petar Kočić was educated in the 1880s.
