Typical Serbian Orthodox church with wooden iconostasis and century icons, offering a lovely panoramic view.
Built of wood around 1870, this Serbian Orthodox church (Crkva Vaznesenju Hristovom u Kolima/Храм Вазнесењу Христовом у Колима) enjoys a lovely panorama, atop a hill overlooking the village of Kola (1,300 inhabitants, all Bosnian-Serbs). Small in size (7 × 4 m), it is typical of the "log churches"(crkve brvnare) of the Banja Luka region, with its imposing roof of shingles. The interior houses a wooden iconostasis and icons from the 18th-19th centuries.
