ÎLOTS DU JANJ

River in a forest that divides into different branches through the trees to form islands, streams and waterfalls.
A tributary of the Pliva River, known for its pure and fishy waters, the Janj forms a group of small islands here (Janjske Otoke, pronounced "yangské otoké") over 1 km long and 300 m wide. In a thick forest, the river divides into different arms through the trees to form islands, streams and waterfalls. The place is charming. There is a picnic area, a restaurant (daily 9am-5pm) and two lodges. Alas, this little paradise could soon be transformed with the creation of a hydroelectric power station upstream.
