These bull fights (Grmečka Korida/Грмечка Корида) have been held since 1772 in the Grmeč Mountains near Sanski Most. Since the last war, they have been relocated to the new neighboring municipality of Oštra Luka in the Bosnian Serb Republic. The event attracted 200,000 spectators in the 1970s. It has come back into fashion with other fights that are now also held in the regions of Sarajevo, Bijeljina and Posušje in the summer. The term "bullfight" is not appropriate: the bulls fight each other and are rarely injured.
