MONASTÈRE DE KLISINA
Serbian Orthodox monastery on the banks of the Sana, with a tall square white tower and a community of four monks.
Located along the Sana River, in a bend on the road from Prijedor to Sanski Most, this Serbian Orthodox monastery (Manastir Klisina/Манастир Клисина) impresses with its tall, square, white tower. Like many religious buildings in the vicinity, it is recent. Dedicated to St. Margaret of Antioch, it was founded in 2001 and houses a community of four monks. Before Oštra Luka, the road passes through the village of Ališići where the mosque dates from 2009. It was erected on the site of an old mosque destroyed by Bosnian Serb forces in August 1992.
