MONASTÈRE SAINT-ÉLIE
Catholic monastery on Lake Buško housing an ethnographic museum and accommodation for spiritual retreats.
This large Catholic monastery (Karmel Svetog Ilije), located on the shores of Lake Buško, was founded in 2008 by the Carmelite order, whose spiritual father is the prophet Elijah. It has an ethnographic museum with the most complete collection of traditional Bosnian-Croatian costumes from all regions of the country. There are also exhibits of jewelry, lace and Bosnian-Serb and Bosnian costumes. In addition, the monastery has accommodations with bathroom and Wi-Fi designed for spiritual retreats, but in theory open to all.
