Sculpture near Foča paying tribute to the local Bosnian-Serb soldiers who died in the Yugoslav wars.
Dating from 1998, this sculpture (Spomenik Borcima Bijeljine i Semberije/Споменик борцима Бијељине и Семберије) depicts ten bent-over men clasped in a cross-shaped steel door. It honors the Bosnian Serb soldiers from the region who died during the Yugoslav wars (1991-2001). It is a minor work by Serbian sculptor Miodrag Živković, to whom we owe the fantastic Monument of the Battle of Sutjeska (1971), near Foča.
