Catherine and Nancy have created this superb cottage resort on a 30-hectare site in the middle of the forest. Featuring A-frame architecture, each unit is energy-efficient and minimalist, with large windows for admiring the surrounding nature. There's an indoor hammock and wood-burning stove, as well as an outdoor fire pit, barbecue and cedar hot tub. All that's left to do is enjoy Johnson Lake and the trails for hiking, quad biking and snowmobiling. A great address off the beaten track.
