GROTTE DI ZUNGRI
Located on the rocky cliffs bordering Zungri, this 3,000 m² site features a small museum at the entrance.
The rocky cliff bordering Zungri was occupied in the Middle Ages by a community that dug and built dozens of rock dwellings of varying shapes and sizes. This site, which covers an area of about 3,000square meters, is unique in Calabria. It has not yet been studied in depth and its origins remain partly mysterious. It can be discovered through a bucolic path, sometimes a little steep, which also offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. At the entrance of the site, there is a small museum of the rural life in Calabria.
