Drowned in greenery on a lakeside ledge, this villa (Вила Билјана) was built in 1959 for Yugoslav President Tito. Now the summer residence of the president of North Macedonia, the building has hosted two historic meetings. In April 1991, Serbian and Croatian representatives agreed here to dismember socialist Yugoslavia. And on August 8, 2001, the villa provided the setting for the Ohrid Accords ending the conflict with Albanian nationalists. It again hosted talks between Serbia and Kosovo in 2023.
