TABLE CAPE LOOKOUT
A 12-million-year-old volcano offering spectacular views of the coast and farmlands of northern Tasmania.
Sitting 180 meters high, "The Cape", as the locals call it, dominates the Wynyard coastline and offers spectacular views of the coast and farmlands of northern Tasmania. Atop the remnants of this 12-million-year-old volcano, a viewing platform provides a clear view of Low Head in George Town and mountain ranges more than 175 kilometers away. From the viewpoint, you can reach the Table Cape Lighthouse, which is open seasonally for tours. Large fields of tulips are in bloom in October.
