FRANKLIN - GORDON WILD RIVERS NATIONAL PARK
This park, which lies between the central highlands and the western coastal range, is accessible from a number of points.
This park is located 117 km from Hobart, between the central highlands and the western coastal range, in the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. It is accessible from various points along the Lyell Highway between Queenstown and Derwent Bridge. Several walks start from the Lyell Highway. Each of them is beautiful and all levels are represented. The most famous (and difficult) is the Frenchmans Cap Track, which requires 3 to 5 days of walking.
