GROTTE DE KRESHMOI
This is the oldest man-inhabited cave in Albania. Beautiful views of the Kllogjer hill, Cape Stillo and Corfu.
This cave (Shpella e Kreshmoit) is located 540 meters above sea level on the 1,034-meter-high Mount Saraqin to the north of Konispol. It is not equipped for visitors. But it is the oldest man-inhabited cave in Albania, with traces of occupation dating back 27,000 years. A goat path (very poorly signposted) leads to it in a 30-minute walk from Konispol across a rocky slope. The entrance to the cave is beautiful, with superb views of Kllogjer Hill, Cape Stillo and Corfu.
