BUKIT SADOK
Bukit Sadok is the hill on which the Rentap fort is located, a sacred site of the Iban people at an altitude of 915 meters. The stronghold of the fearsome Iban chief is steeped in history, as it was here that three major battles between Rentap and the Brooke administration took place between 1857 and 1861. It takes around three hours to climb the hill through dense forest to reach it. To get there from Betong, take the road towards the Mid Layar Rural Transformation Centre, then head towards the Jambu Kerampak longhouse.
