The bus station is on rue Abay, 500 m on the right as you cross the bridge over the Ulba from the city center. The main cities served are Semey (12 to 15 hours) and Astana (departures at noon and 4:40 p.m.). Almaty takes 16 hours (daily departures at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.). This is also the departure point for minibuses to Ridder, the only city in the Altai region that does not require special authorization to visit (departures every hour between 7.30 a.m. and 7 p.m.). Private cabs also gather in the vicinity of the station.
