LA CABANE
Two Frenchmen, Clément Meniaud (architect) and Jules Gualdoni (ex-mixologist at Le Cliff), have reinvented the concept of the paillote. The essence is there: the beachfront, feet in the sand, but in a bohemian chic version with wooden furniture and salvaged objects, designer chairs and natural materials. No wonder it's so popular. On the menu, chef Brian Hynds concocts tasty dishes combining French Mediterranean and Barbadian cuisine (fish of the day grilled with garlic, rosemary and herbs). A perfect spot for a sunset cocktail.
