Built in 1925, Harrison's Point (or North Point Lighthouse) guided ships until 2007. Since then, it and its janitor's quarters have been abandoned, but you can still visit them and climb up to the lantern balcony to admire the view of the island's northwest coast and catch a glimpse of Animal Flower Cave. You may also see the ruins of NAVFAC Barbados, an American base that operated until 1979, probing the seas for Soviet submarines.
