This park on the north east coast overlooks Cattlewash Beach. A superb vantage point, very popular with Barbadian families. In the shade of the casuarinas, there are several tables inviting you to picnic and relax. If you feel like getting moving, you can either head down to the beach for a stroll, or start the hike to Chalky Mount, which begins at the Barclays Park parking lot. Fun fact: the park owes its name to Barclays Bank, which donated it to Barbados on the occasion of its independence in 1966. It was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II.
