This site is an ambitious project to convert a former sand quarry into a nature reserve. Beach, mangrove, pond and wooded slopes make up this sanctuary, promising unique biodiversity. The pond is already home to a multitude of migratory and resident birds, while permaculture is being used to recolonize the site. Discover the reserve on foot, at your own pace or on a guided tour, and don't forget your binoculars for birdwatching. Walkers Beach, covered in sea grapes, is one of the wildest in Barbados.
