TEMPLE OF THE SYBIL (ŞWIĄTYNIA SYBILLI)
Built in 1798-1801 on the model of the Tivoli Temple near Rome, it is the city's most important historic monument. According to Princess Izabela Czartorysk, who asked for the foundation, it was to serve as a "temple of memory". Here were exposed the objects of the families Sieniawski, Lubomirski, Czartoryskiet other Polish nobles in order to rappler everyone the greatness of the Polish nation. In 1830, before the November uprising, the collections were transported to Paris, and then to Krakow, where they became the nucleus of the Museum of Princes Czartoryski.
