On the pretty Markt, several th- and th-century buildings and city hall containing medieval elements despite successive transformations. The city contains three Gothic churches, several medieval and Renaissance houses, including the Natale birthplace of Luther, in late Gothic, where the future reformer was born in 1483 (at the corner of Lutherstrasse and Seminarstrasse streets).
