Located in the middle of Lake Turkana, this island is a national park in itself. It's easiest to get there from Eliye or the Gulf of Ferguson on the western shore. Covering an area of 5 km2, the island is made up of three volcanic cones at the bottom of which nest small lakes. The lakes attract numerous birds, including pink flamingos, and are home to crocodiles. The safest way to get to the island is to book an excursion with Eliye Springs Resort.
