In addition to its lowCO2 emissions, attractive fares (Ksh150 to Ksh350 depending on distance) and safety features, the recent Water Bus company has the merit of working to open up Mbita and the surrounding islands. Indeed, throughout the year, the Water Bus fleet links Mbita to the islands of Mfangano and Takawiri, as well as to the other shores of Kisumu Bay, namely Luanda and Misori, in 30 and 50 minutes respectively, allowing you to make a round trip within the day, or to reach Kisumu more quickly.
