PLAGE DE KOMITSAS
A 2.8 km-long sandy beach with few visitors, abruptly interrupted by the wall of the Athos monastic territory.
Bordered by turquoise waters, this 2.8 km-long stretch of sand (Παραλία Κομίτσας/Paralia Komitsas) is one of the most beautiful beaches in Chalkidiki. Yet it is much less crowded than those on the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas. The western part (800 m) is fairly organized, with villas for rent, restaurants and sun loungers for hire. After that, it's wilder, as there's only one driveway left. To the east, there's a tavern, 750 m from the wall closing the border with the monastic territory of Athos.
