DELLAS BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Founded in 1283 by Prince Jean Doukas and enlarged by Serbian emperor Stefan Dušan in the century. mosaics.
This Greek Orthodox church (Ιερός Ναός Πόρτα Παναγιάς/Ieros Naos Porta Panagias) was founded in 1283 by the Byzantine prince John Doukas, who is buried here, and was enlarged by the Serbian emperor Dušan in the 14th century. It was part of a monastery destroyed by the Ottomans at the end of the 14th century. Inside, most of the frescoes were lost in a fire in 1855, but those on the dome (18th century) and two original mosaics on the marble iconostasis remain. Good tavern next door.
