Just a quarter of an hour from Orbey, just at the entrance to the Lac Noir glacier cirque, this pleasant hostel welcomes hikers, mountain bikers and other lovers of quality regional cuisine all year round. In summer, its shaded terrace offers a beautiful view of the lake and the peaks of the Vosges mountains. Inside, its two rooms, decorated in a rustic style, can accommodate up to 85 guests. Featured on the plate, local trout is available in milling, blue, almond or Riesling. For the rest, the menu gives pride of place to Alsatian dishes: presskopf, winegrower's salad, sauerkraut garnished, can baeckeoffe, queen bites and seasonal game. More unusual, the Welche menu consists of the compiche, sauerkraut made with green cabbage. As for the children, they are entitled to 4 menus with very evocative names: Cowboy, Adventurer, Farmer or Black Loch. That's enough to whet the appetite of young and old alike!

The view is however not very beautiful lake is " very noir" , a power station borders the shores of the lake.
On the other hand, beautiful hikes are possible at the beginning of the lake (to the lawn of the faing lake trout,...)

Or : jour de grande chaleur, on ne pouvait nous servir que trois truites pour 9 convives ( rien d'autre en remplacement dans le menu touristique à 21,50€) . ce qui n'est pas normal !!!!
La serveuse nous propose une assiette de truitelles

Quand au patron, qui est venu au secours de sa serveuse maladroite, s'est excusé du manque de truite "fraiche" en raison des fortes chaleurs (très compréhensible).
Pour s'en excuser il nous a offert le dessert (très beau geste).
Mais lorsque nous avons payé, le prix du menu étais de 21,50€
Manœuvre où manque de coordination!!!!!!!!
