SOCIÉTÉ ASTRONOMIQUE DU HAUT-RHIN - OBSERVATOIRE ASTRONOMIQUE D'OSENBACH
An astronomical observatory run by a volunteer association that opens its doors every Friday evening in summer.
The Osenbach astronomical observatory was inaugurated on October1, 1993. It is the fruit of the labors of the association's volunteers, who pooled their knowledge and efforts during the three years it took to build it. Every Friday evening in July and August, the public is invited to come and enjoy the site and the capabilities offered by the equipment installed under the dome. Our animators are on hand to present the sky (constellations in particular) and answer questions about the objects observed. Osenbach enjoys a good sky, allowing access to faint objects such as nebulae and galaxies.
