Discover the three medieval castles surrounding the village of Ribeauvillé, witnesses to a fascinating era.

The medieval village of Ribeauvillé is surrounded by three castles. Their ruins bear witness to a rich medieval life. A signposted walk links them. Château de Saint-Ulrich is the best-preserved. Built in the mid-13th century, it was home to the Ribeaupierre family until the 15th century. Opposite it, the Château de Girsberg stands on an impressive rocky outcrop. It boasts a 13th-century keep, and its remains date back to several eras. Château du Haut-Ribeaupierre is the oldest of the three, overlooking Ribeauvillé at an altitude of 645 meters.

3 chateaux et les vignes
Je recommande cette ballade qui permet de découvrir les vignes et les 3 châteaux en 2 heures de promenade. Attention, cela grimpe ! Mais c'est très joli !

belle grimpette
la grimpette prend 40 mn pour arriver au sommet du premier château. tres belle vue sur la plaine d'alsace et la route des vins. n'oubliez pas la centaine de marche pour monter à la tour

Une belle randonnée à faire au départ de l'office de tourisme pour voir les vestiges magnifiques des 3 châteaux (Saint-ULRICH, GIRSBERG et HAUT-RIBEAUPIERRE) qui appartenaient aux seigneurs de RIBEAUPIERRE et qui surplombent la ville médiévale et offrent une vue magnifique sur la plaine d'Alsace.
