This 10-hectare family estate has been handed down from father to son for four generations. Guided by the desire to make very natural wines with as few inputs and treatments as possible, the Kelhetter family pampers their vines on the Engelberg. Low yields, 100% manual harvesting, ageing on fine lees until spring and release 12 to 16 months after bottling (depending on the cuvée): these are the best practices of Domaine Kelhetter. Elegantly structured, the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Engelberg is a sure bet and a benchmark of its kind!
