Comprising a 12th-century square keep and a 14th-century double fortified wall built by the Wurtenberg family, Bilstein-Aubure stands at an altitude of 800 meters. It offers a magnificent panorama of the Vosges ridges. Access to the keep is via a high, ogival-shaped door. The tiles used were made in Riquewihr. The château was inhabited until the end of the 17th century. Bilstein-Aubure has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1898.
