LA BRASSERIE DU CINQUIÈME
Restaurant with a view of the planes from the terrace offering a varied menu with a correct bill to pay.
Would you like to have lunch with a view of the planes? That's what the 3 Länder restaurant at Basel airport has to offer. The large dining room and terrace, with their chic, sober decor, offer a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle. You may be surprised by the music, which is very local but far from disturbing. The menu reflects the multicultural ambience of the place, with dishes prepared by three chefs from France, Germany and Switzerland (indicated by small flags). There's nothing to complain about in terms of quantity, quality or seasoning. It's good and well mastered. All in all, a very pleasant surprise. The view of the planes taking off makes lunch all the more enjoyable. Service is impeccable, fast and professional. You'll be able to enjoy lunch in an hour or less. Between the ambience of the place and the quality of the dishes served, you'd forget you had a plane to catch! Fortunately, the departure and arrival screens are there to make us... land! So we regretfully have to settle for a perfectly acceptable bill, given the high-flying service. All the more reason to get to the airport early.
