Contemporary art center, hosting artists from all over the world

Built in 1909, this former distillery has been making for almost a century the famous bitter with plants. After its closure in 2000, the building, which has been restored as a contemporary art centre, welcomes artists from all over the world. Today the Foundation offers a space of 1,500m2 with contemporary art as a common thread. With its bar area and bookshop, there is something to delight all spectators. The Fernet-Branca Foundation is the only museum to be part of the Museum Night circuit that takes place every year in January in and around Basel.

Ein kleines aber feines Museum für moderne Kunst. Durch die wechselnden Ausstellungen immer wieder neu zu entdecken. Dem Gebäude, einer früheren Destillerie, ist von aussen kaum anzusehen, welch schöne große Säle es enthält. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe.
